WR Mini Kickers
Wisconsin Rapids Kickers Soccer Club is excited to offer a youth developmental soccer academy for our community's youngest players. The Wisconsin Rapids Kickers Mini Kickers Midway District Mites is open to all area youth ages 5 to 8 at the time of the academy regardless of school, soccer club, or recreational program affiliation. The skills focus on soccer fundamentals and proper techniques while creating a fun environment that allows athletes to learn the game of soccer.
Fall 2026 Season Information
Who?
- Age groups U5-U8 (see below for age groupings)
- U-5: Born Aug 1, 2021 – July 31, 2022 (Must be 5 before August 31, 2026 to attend)
- U-6: Born Aug 1, 2020 – July 31, 2021
- U-7: Born Aug 1, 2019 – July 31, 2020
- U-8: Born Aug 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019
Cost: $60, which includes practices, certified coaches, two Saturday mini-play dates, and a T-shirt. Financial assistance is available.
When and where will the Mini Kickers run?
- Mondays and Wednesdays
- Starting Monday August 31, 2026 to October 7, 2026
- All sessions will be held at Washington Elementary Soccer Complex Field 1.
- Dates/Times of Practice:
- Ages 5 to 6
- 4:30p to 5:15p
- Ages 7 to 8
- 5:30p to 6:30p
Each session players should bring/wear the following:
- Soccer cleats (recommended, not required)
- Shin guards (required; for safety reasons, players without shin guards will not be allowed to play)
- Clothes suitable for the weather
- Water bottle
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and have fun
If a make-up session is needed due to weather cancellation, a make-up date will be determined and parents will be notified via the Kickers communication channels.
