Tournament Rules

ELIGIBILITY


The tournament is open to currently registered USYSA league or association teams composed of no more than 14 athletes for U9/U10 teams, 16 athletes for U11 and U12 teams and 18 athletes for all other teams per match. All teams must be registered with their state, national, or provincial association.


FOUR guest players may be added to your roster, but maximum match roster size remains 14/16/18. All guest players must have their roster AND WYSA Guest Player Form completed and on file in the Registration tent. This form may be downloaded from the WYSA web site. Players may not be rostered on more than one team during the tournament unless prior authorization is granted from the tournament director.  All out of state teams must present a travel permit.

Coaches and Managers Information

Registration PRIOR TO TOURNAMENT: (Updated 5.11.2026) 



NEW THIS YEAR: This year we have transitioned to using Playmetrics for team registration and approving rosters.  We will not be requiring Digital Player waivers as we have done in previous years.  Coaches and Team Managers should have hard copy WYSA waivers on hand for every player on your roster at the tournament.  While we will not be checking them at registration, you will need to be able to produce them if asked by tournament officials or referees.



NO ONSITE REGISTRATION:

There is NO onsite registration for this tournament. Registration is completed digitally through Playmetrics.  Managers/Coaches should bring multiple copies of the roster to the tournament to present to referees prior to games.  All Coaches/Managers need to enter their rosters on Playmetrics and submit them no later than 5:00pm on Saturday May 23, 2026. Rosters for clubs/teams that use Playmetrics will have their rosters automatically populated into our Tournament.  You can verify your rosters online prior to submitting them to make sure your roster is up to date.  If you notice any discrepancies in your roster or you are having trouble submitting your roster please contact communications@rapidskickers.com.  



GUEST PLAYERS AND OUT OF STATE TRAVEL FORMS:

Guest player rosters and/or Out of State Travel Forms must be turned into the Tournament Headquarters not later than 1 hour prior to your first game.  Tournament Headquarters will be at the tent located East of the Main Concession area. 



CASTS:

Casts must be inspected and approved by the Tournament Director AND referee coordinator prior to playing in the tournament. Please schedule this inspection in advance of the tournament. See the tournament rules for more information regarding the cast policy.



ROSTERS: 

Please carry WYSA (or other state) medical release and WYSA official rosters with you during the weekend and have accessible when asked.



GAME TIMES:

In order to help keep the games on time, please have your team in the game field area 25 minutes prior to each game time. Please be ready to check-in with the field Marshall 20 minutes before each game. As a courtesy, wait for the previous team to leave and keep together as a group.



WARMUPS:

Absolutely NO ON-FIELD WARM-UPS.  There are numerous green spaces around and in-between fields.  No exceptions.

Any updates to the tournament will be communicated via Playmetrics, the Rapids Kickers website and as time allows, the Rapids Kickers Facebook page.  



NO PETS or ALCOHOL/TOBACCO:

We’d love to have your pets join you and understand your desire to do so, but per Rapids Area Soccer, Inc guidelines, animals are NOT ALLOWED on any soccer fields or in their vicinity.  Please leave your furry friends at home. Additionally, per Wisconsin Rapids Public School policy, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are not allowed on Wisconsin Rapids Public School property.  



PARKING: 

We do not charge for parking, but know that with this many visitors to one site, parking gets very congested.  Utilize street parking (obey posted parking signs) as well as Washington School Parking Lots. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ON GRASS (unless marked) OR OUTSIDE MARKED PARKING STALLS.  Violators are subject to ticket or towing by the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department.  Please No RV’s, Trailers or Busses inside the parking lots.

CONCESSIONS:

We have a full concession stand on-site along with a few other food and beverage trucks.  Please bring CASH as many vendors do not accept card or online payment options.



TOURNAMENT APPAREL:

This year we will have a tournament apparel vendor onsite.  You can order custom made tournament apparel on-site.

Referees-


Thank you for your interest in refereeing at the Cranberry Clash this year! Please make sure you have completed all of the certification or recertification requirements through your U.S. Soccer Learning Center account before you apply to referee this tournament or please fill out this Google Form


After you fill out the form, I will send you an "invite" to referee the tournament through Ref Insight. This might not pop up until it gets a little closer to the tournament, so just keep an eye out in your email for it.
