Tryouts will take place at the Washington Soccer Complex on Field 6.

Tryouts will take place on the following dates:  Not sure which tryout date to attend? It is determined by birth year.  See the birth chart below.

Rapids Kickers will schedule tryouts in accordance with Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) policies.

 

What To Expect At Tryouts

Hints on how to prepare for tryouts:
  • Eat breakfast or a sensible meal or snack
  • Get enough sleep in the days leading up to the tryout.
  • Drink water in the days leading up to the tryout to ensure your proper hydration.
  • Bring plenty of water to the tryout.

  • Ball (appropriate size)
  • All Registration Paperwork (See Link Below)
  • No payment required
What to Expect:
  • Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout.
  • Each player will be expected to check-in at Registration upon arrival.
  • All registration and tryout paperwork should be turned in at Registration.
  • Each player will be given a pinnie to wear for the tryout.
  • Parents may watch the tryout, however must remain quiet and stay a reasonable distance from the field.
  • The assessors and/or coaches will run the players through various drills, and small and large sided scrimmages, scoring and ranking each individual player within the age group.  Players will be evaluated on their technical skill, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and willingness to adapt to teammates and coaches.  A composite score will be calculated from all the assessor evaluations.  Rankings will then be used to form teams.  Each team must have a minimum of 1 goalkeeper.  
  • Offers for positions on a team will be made in accordance with the Central Wisconsin League and WYSA Tryout Policy.
  • Upon accepting an offer, you will be given instructions on how to complete any additional registration requirements and/or uniform ordering instructions. All uniform orders must be completed online.
