Volunteer Requirements

Our club is an all-volunteer organization; therefore, during each season, families will be required to put forth volunteer hours to help with running the club, tournaments and your child's team needs.

Volunteer commitment for all WR Kickers teams U9 thru U19, Fall only, Spring only, or full season is as follows:

NOTE: Our year runs from August 1st-July 31st.

  1. A minimum of THREE (3) non-tournament hours are required per PLAYER each year. Our year runs August 1st-July 31st.  Non-tournament hours consist of things like donating supplies for the indoor 3v3 tournament, working at the indoor 3v3 tournament helping out before and after games by setting up cones, field setup and take down, concessions at league games, and a variety of other things as needed.  Though confusing, it is important to note that our March indoor tournament does not count towards tournament hours. Tournament hours are only counted during our Cranberry Clash weekend in June (unless otherwise directed by the board president or volunteer coordinator.)

  2. Cranberry Clash Tournament (June): Fall or Spring only families are required to complete a minimum of FOUR (4) Tournament Volunteer hours the weekend of the home tournament with a minimum of 2 hours in concessions.  Full season families are required to complete a minimum of SIX (6) tournament volunteer hours with a minimum of 2 hours in concessions..  The hours are based on the hours needed to run a successful tournament.  Families that are unable to fulfill their required hours the weekend of the tournament must contact the Volunteer Coordinator(s) prior to the tournament weekend for alternative work options.

  3. Families who do not fulfill their volunteer work requirements during a season will be assessed a fee of $50.00 per missing hour not served and will be required to pay this assessment prior to September 1 of the same year.

  4. Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers and other various designated club positions fulfill their tournament and non-tournament family work hours as a function of performing their services throughout the season and at tournaments. Coaches and Assistant Coaches that are also players, fulfill their own tournament and non-tournament hours, not the whole family’s hours.

  5. Board of Directors fulfill their tournament and non-tournament family work hours as a function of performing their BOD responsibilities throughout the year.

All volunteer hours are tracked by team managers (non-tournament hours) and the volunteer coordinator (tournament hours). If you have questions at any time, please reach out to Jen Landers, Volunteer Coordinator, at wrkickersvolunteers@gmail.com.  We appreciate your willingness to help us make Kickers Soccer a great place to develop players on the field and in life!
